As a result of good service and solid business experience, on August 19, 1978, the first franchise agreement was signed with Budget Rent a Car International, Inc., a company founded in the United States of America in 1958 that today positions itself as one of the three largest companies in the world in the vehicle rental sector. The signing of this contract granted Centric Costa Rica, S.A. the right to use the Budget Car Rental name and brand, as well as the commitment to operate under internationally recognized service and quality standards, which have been consistently met for over 35 years of franchise operation in the country.

Throughout its development, Budget Rent a Car has consolidated a solid and sustained international presence, currently operating in more than 120 countries and territories around the world.
Its global network is composed of thousands of rental offices, including both proprietary operations and licensed locations, strategically distributed in international airports, urban centers and key tourist destinations. This broad geographic coverage allows it to efficiently serve a wide diversity of clients, from tourists and occasional travelers to businesses and corporations that require reliable and standardized mobility solutions.
